With DNN 5.1, they basically rewrote the Text/HTML module.  The data model is completely different and they've added basic workflow (staging) and versioning to the module.  I'm in the process of adding support for these new changes to metaPost.  Let me know if you're interested in working with one of the beta releases for the updated version of the metaPost provider for the new Html module.  Probably best to let me know via email.
