Posts go to description and not content

I just tried my first post to DNNArticle and it appears that it posted to the Description section of the article instead of the Content section.  Otherwise it went fine.

DNN Article 6.01
Metapost 1.03.04

Re: Posts go to description and not content

Just a follow up on this one.

I just updated to DNN Article 6.01.03 and the problem persists.

Whenever I use Metapost to post an article the artcile contents end up in the description field instead of the content field.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.  I was out of the office for a few days.  I'm downloading 6.1.3 right now to test and will let you know what I find ASAP.

Thanks,

Don

Re: Posts go to description and not content

I'm really sorry about the delay regarding this issue.  I see that the first entry was made on 2/7.  Arghh!  I didn't see this come through and I apologize for not seeing it until now.

Regarding the behavior of the ZLDNN metaPost provider, this was the behavior designed by ZLDNN for this module.  If there is only an entry (no use of the more tag which I'll describe in a second), then that entry is treated as the description.  If this entry is moved to the main content region, then nothing shows up as a description for the entry.

If you want the content to be saved in the content field, you can accomplish this is WLW by adding a split post marker (the More tag available from Format | Split Post) as follows:

In most cases, though, you’ll want to include both a description and a content region.

Again, I apologize for the delay and hope this answers your question.

Thanks for using metaPost!

Don

No problem for the delay... we all get busy :)

That's a clever way to handle splitting the content.  I'll give that a try.
